Everything you need to know about therapy, our services, and getting started at AZAD.
Our entire team is licensed and professionally trained. If you begin with a therapist and need medical support, they'll refer you to a psychiatrist. If you start with a psychiatrist, they'll work with and recommend the most suitable plan — whether continuing with them or referring you to a therapist. Once you reach out, we'll help you choose the right place to start.
Both options are highly effective. Online sessions save time and effort, especially if you live far away, while in-person sessions offer direct connection and deeper interaction. The choice depends on your personal preference and what helps you begin and feel at ease.
We get to know you, understand your concerns, background, and life, and develop an initial assessment along with a treatment plan (therapy and/or medication). This session is your space to decide whether you feel comfortable continuing with us and with which member of the team.
The duration depends on your goals. Identified problems may take a shorter time, while deeper personality patterns often require longer-term work. We regularly review the plan together to make sure we're moving in a way that supports your progress and recovery.
Your privacy and confidentiality are our top priority. Your administrative data is kept completely separate from your session and treatment plan. No information is shared outside the clinical team without your clear consent, and you're always in control of what you choose to disclose.
